Gracias a la gran aceptación del libro y de la película, el escritor Takami decidió crear un manga basado en el libro, de un total de quince tomos o volúmenes, que Keith Giffen adaptó a la lengua inglesa y que más adelante publicó TOKYOPOP, y que actualmente cuenta con una secuela distinta a la versión cinematográfica. El título del libro se inspira en el nombre dado a los combates de lucha libre que reúnen a más de dos luchadores, muchas veces en decenas. Los luchadores pueden combatir solos o improvisar equipos temporalmente, en un mismo escenario o en el mismo ring, sin embargo la premisa es que es una lucha todos contra todos donde los competidores se eliminan entre sí hasta sólo quedar uno.[1]​
